How to assemble a squaretube workbench :3d Storage Systems

Easy to follow step by step guide to assembling your workbench for square tube workbenches.

Step One. Assemble Square Tube Bench Framework

A)  Fix the Top Channels (1) to End Frames (2) using 20mm Allen Bolts supplied, ensuring Rear Support Upright fixing holes in end frames are at the rear of the bench.

B)  Fix Foot Rails (3) to End Frames (2) using 40mm Dome Head Bolts from underside

C)  Finger tighten all bolts, and then make sure the framework is fully true and square.

D)  Tighten bolts (If Drawers and/or Cupboard is included, then do not tighten.  Keep finger tight.  This allows drawer unit or cupboard to be slid along length of bench and allows worktop to be fixed.)

A)  Place worktop ontop of Bench Frame

B)  Ensure there is no overhang at the rear of the bench

C)  Make sure there is an even overhang on the front and two sides of the work surface.

D)  When positioned correctly, screw the 15mm screws from beneath, through the frame

E)  Proceed to add accessories if ordered.

Step Three: Add Support bars for Drawers and Cupboards

A)  A drawer unit or cupboard unit is fitted to the bench via two support Bars.

B)  The Support Bars are each of 2 parts and need to be pre-assembled using the bolts to the correct depth of the workbench you have received

i.e 600mm, 750mm or 900mm deep.

C)  Position the Support Bars (10) between Top Channel of the work bench

 

Step Four: Fix Cupboards and Drawers into position

A)  Fix the Cupboard or Drawer to Support Bars using 20mm Dome bolts and washers

B)  Extend the fixing bolts at the back to prevent movement of complete assembly along length of work bench.

C)  If you are fitting a Cupboard and Drawer combination unit you will need to remove the Foot Rail (3) 

Step Five: Attach Benchtop service Panel

A)  Undo scres to remove the front of the service panel.

B)  Position service panel carcase flush with rear of worktop.  

C)  Drill and fix with 15mm Self Tapping Screws.

D)  Small Sercice Panel:  Position at rear where required and fix as above.

E)  Please Note:  It is recommended that a qualified electrician wire sockets

F)  Replace fron of service panel.

Step Six: Attach Rear Support Uprights for workbench kits

A)  All upper workbench accessories required the slotted Support Uprights (15) 

B)  These are available in two lengths to accept your chosen accessories

C)  Bolt the Slooted Uprights to rear of bench using two 60mm BOlts at each end

A)  Clip upper service panel into rear support upright

B)  It is recommended that a qualified electrician wire sockets and switches.

Step Eight: Attach Light and Tool Rail

A)  Clip light and tool rail into rear support uprights

Step Nine: Attach Upper Shelves

A)  Clip upper shelves into rear support uprights

Step Ten: Attach Louvred Panels and PIn Boards

A)  Clip louvred panels and pin board into the rear support uprights

Step Eleven: Attach Extension Benches to workbench

Step Eleven:  Attach Extension Benches to workbench

A)  Extension benches can be attached to either the left or right hand side of a square tube benche.

B)  Slide extension bracket 18 onto top channgel 19 to the position required

C)  Fix the allen bolts 17 back into position, through extensio bracket 18 if the extension bench is required at the end of the main bench.

D)  Fix Extension Becn Top Channels 20 to the Extension Bracket 18 using 20mm allen bolts

E)  Fix Entension Bench To Channels 20 to Extension Bench Frame 21 using 20mm allen bolts

F)  Fix extnsion bench worktop securely using 15mm screws through the top channels and extension bracket
